Hotel: Transport & Parking

Parking

Yes, as our hotel guest, you can use our private parking space for just £10 per stay. The car park is monitored by CCTV for your security. There aren't any free parking spaces in the immediate area. You can easily reserve your parking spot online or when you check in. Right here at our front door. 

Can I park my (racing) bike inside

Unfortunately, we do not have a covered bicycle parking space. Our open-air car park does have camera security and hosts charging points. You are not supposed to park your bike in your room.

Is there a charging point for my car or bicycle

Absolutely, you can charge your bikes with us. For cars, we're able to use our neighbours' charging station. This is an EVbox charging point. Furthermore, the entire island is well equipped with charging spots.

How to reach us by public transport

Is it possible to cancel free of charge / what are the cancellation conditions

If your cancellation is within the appropriate time frame, this is definitely possible.
We work according to the general catering terms and conditions, you can find those right here.

Is it possible to stay with a group

Do the rooms have an outside / terrace

Yes, all the hotelrooms on the ground floor have a terrace / outside space.

Hotel: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Is breakfast included in the room rate

Yes, breakfast is included in all of the room rates. We serve our breakfast between 8-10 in the restaurant, or in your suite. Read more about our breakfast right here.

Do you serve lunch

No, unfortunately not. Our restaurant is exclusively for hotel guests during the day. In our lounge, we serve various bits and bites to share, but no lunch dishes. Of course you can always order a local oyster!

Can I bring my dog

Unfortunately, “op Oost” and our restaurant are no place for the faithful four-legged friend. We have an edible garden, which dogs also really love. We make no exceptions to this rule for (for example) small or leashed dogs.

Is it possible to rent bicycles

Can I hold a meeting with you

We do not have a meeting room at “op Oost”. Up to 8 people can fit the botanical lounge. You can also hire our entire hotel and restaurant. Can I book an oyster tour during my stay

Absolutely! This would be the perfect way to complete your stay on Oost. Click here to view all the options and book directly, from oyster tours on the mudflats.

Is it possible to buy a gift voucher

Yes, you can order those right here. A gift voucher can be spent both in the hotel and in our restaurant.

Is it possible to decorate the room as a surprise / can something be placed in the room

You certainly can, we have put together 3 beautiful packages for that purpose:

Can I park at your hotel if I am not staying there

If you're not staying at the hotel, there's public parking available at Lancasterdijk, just a 5-minute walk away. We kindly ask that you don't park in the street to avoid disturbing our neighbours and prevent any parking fines. Do you have mobility issues? Restaurant: General

We are coming with children, what options are there for them

For the restaurant: If mini-farmers want to join in, we serve the menu in small portions up to 12 years old. We do not serve a children's menu. So if the kids come along, they can enjoy the menu in small portions. This is possible during the week, not in a weekend. Our hotel is adult only.

Until what time does dinner last

Dinner is a culinary, evening-long programme. Depending on your own choices during the evening, you will usually walk out of our premises between 10-22:30 pm.

Can I bring my dog

Is it possible to have dinner later

Unfortunately, this is not possible. Mainly because we would like to give all guests the same experience during dinner. Have you booked our signature menu? Then you are welcome between 18:30 and 18:45. Are you coming to enjoy the tasting menu? Then we expect you around 19h.

Is it possible to eat a la carte

Unfortunately, we don't have an a la carte menu. We only serve our signature "Served by Nature" surprise menu, or the tasting, which is a chef-chosen selection of that.

Does the menu include drinks

The prices you find on the restaurant page are specifically for dinner. Of course, you can choose to order wine pairings with matching wines (½ glasses are also possible). You can also choose to enjoy our homemade non-alcohol pairings.

I am staying at the hotel, can I dine several evenings in the Kook Atelier

You are of course welcome to come and dine several evenings, but we serve 1 fixed menu during a menu period.

I have booked a culinary escape, what day is dinner on

If you have booked a package, dinner will always take place on your day of arrival.

How often does your menu change

We change the menu 5x a year, the dates when this happens can be found under opening hours on our contact page.

Restaurant: Dietary Requirements

Which dietary requirements can we take into account

Our menu is lovingly crafted each day using fresh produce from our kitchen garden, orchard and local suppliers. This means we can't accommodate every individual preference. However, we can adapt our menu for the following dietary requirements: vegetarian, vegan, gluten or lactose-free, no shellfish & crustaceans, no fish or no meat.

I do not like seafood, can I still dine at the restaurant

Yes, we have a beautifully varied menu in which plants and wild herbs form its basis. Please indicate this dietary wish when making your reservation and we will take it into account.
