Joram has received a wild card from the organisers to participate. The other wild card went to Lieven Lootens from Restaurant 't Aards Paradijs in Deinze, Belgium.
The other three finalists for the Green Chef's Hat (formerly the Groene Koksmuts) emerged from a preliminary round held at Horecava. These are Yornie van Dijk from de Basiliek* in Harderwijk, Youri Hiemstra from Oan Tafel in Wergea, Friesland, and Timoti Jongsma from De Nieuwe Winkel ** in Nijmegen.
The Gastronomisch Gilde organises the plant-based cooking competition together with 'We're Smart'. According to the Gastronomisch Gilde, this gives the competition an international flavour with an international finalist. 'We're Smart' is an organisation that brings together parties working in a healthy, ecological and sustainable way, both within the food sector and beyond.
