Growing awareness
"The list of 100 gamechangers in food shows just how strong the drive for innovation is within the food system," the Food100 jury tells us. "Innovative farmers, foodtech start-ups, researchers, activists, food designers, retailers, caterers, industry organisations: throughout the entire food chain, awareness has grown enormously in recent years. A better food system will only become reality when the conviction grows that healthier and more sustainable food is possible."
Dialogue within the food chain
Knowledge sharing and connection are more important than ever. It's not polarisation that moves us forward, but continuous dialogue between all players in the food chain. In the heated debate
about the future of the agrifood sector in the Netherlands, understanding each other's roles is essential. That's why an initiative like Food100 is so important. Food100 brings innovators
together with the established order, connecting the younger generation with agrifood seniors. The list comprises 50 up-and-coming talents under 35 and 50 established
food changemakers over 35. Together, they can make even greater impact and inspire the entire sector.
